Sandy Shaw Bio
Sandy started her playing career at Bakalar Field which eventually became Ponderosa Playmakers. They played several years there and in the city leagues before heading out to County Stadium.
She qualified for the State tournament for several years and Won or was Runner-up several times.
She went to the Nationals in Satellite Beach, Fla. And Parma Ohio where she was the 5th leading hitter in the National Tournament.
Sandy was a power hitter who also hit for high average during her career. She was also labeled as a great first baseman.
She played along side Hall of Famers, Hedy George and Bonnie Rogers, Barb Romine and Faye Moorman Groves. She was coached by Hall of Fame Coach Rod Eliot.
