PECO/Dairy Queen Womens Team Softball Bio
Arguably, one of the best young Women’s teams to have ever played in Columbus Indiana.
Sponsored by Rod Eliot (Ponderosa) and Bob & Noel Franke (DQ), this team was coached by Lloyd Meyer and Walt Bannister.
This team played together from 1974-1982
They played at County Stadium for many years winning their age division year after year.
At one time, this team was rated in the top 10 Nationally for USSSA.
The DQ team played 50-60 games across the US, winning 5 State Championships, and finishing 2nd in a National Regional.
