  • Won several individual awards including “Best Shortstop”, MVP’s and “Best Hitter” awards
  • Had a long career playing baseball in Indianapolis after Softball
  • One of the best Shortstops to ever play softball in Columbus

Maria Stack
Board Member

  • Played for over 25 years
  • Played for the Ponytails, KFC and GB Wilcher
  • These teams won over 300 tournaments and leagues
  • Won All-American honors and MVP’s through the years
  • Lifetime batting average of over .500
  • Had a rocket arm and threw out many baserunners from the outfield- including throwing runners out at first base
  • A tenacious baserunner
  • Inducted into the CISSHOF 2019
  • One of the best female players in Columbus In.

Terry England
Board Member

  • Terry coached and played softball in Columbus Indiana for over 13 years from 1991 to 2004. His teams always went under the name of Mancino’s both in leagues and tournament play.
  • Terry played pitcher for most of his years but on his travel teams was the designated hitter including major tournaments.
  • Terry’s teams list of accomplishments were:
  • Won several league and league tournament titles.
  • 2002 won Indiana USSSA State tournament.
  • 2002 Won Indiana USSSA Super-State Championship.
  • 2001 won Indiana USSSA State Championship.
  • 1997 finished 4th place NSA World Series
  • Terry Sponsored teams for over 9 years and with league play and travel ball won over 700 games.
  • Players loved playing him. He demanded all his teams to be respectful as members of Mancino’s team and in representing Columbus Indiana.

John Dejarnette III

  • John participated in Columbus Indiana Softball for over 15 years.
  • He was a very good player, organizer, director of all thing’s softball.
  • As a player, he was very competitive holding himself accountable to always play at his very best.
  • An outstanding defensive who was versatile as an outfielder and infielder.
  • Great glove with excellent game awareness skills.
  • An excellent leadoff hitter who took pride in getting on base at a high percentage.
  • John was the ultimate teammate, always lifting up others and providing much encouragement to others.
  • Accomplishments; 5 years Athletic Director for Ceraland, 1 year CSA Committee board Member, 25 years coaching.
