Cathy Brummett: Cathy started playing softball at the age of 10 and retired at 39
while being 8 months pregnant. She was known for her skill set as an infielder and
hitter. She played the game aggressively as a hitter, defender and baserunner
always looking for an edge to win. Cathy was the heart on any team she played for
with her quick wit, sense of humor and athletic abilities. She was the consummate
lead off hitter with her speed and ability to read defenses. She easily hit over .500
during her career, winning multiple MVP awards at National tournaments. She was
a great ambassador for women’s slow pitch softball.
