Jim Cabbell Softball Bio
Jim played and coached slow pitch softball in Columbus Indiana for over 55 years from 1965 to 2022.
As a player, he played mostly in the outfield but did play some first base throughout his long career.
He coached teams for over 35 years winning many league titles. As a coach of local traveling teams, he won 17 World & National tournaments including 2 Tournament of Champions in SSWC
He started playing softball at the age of 20 in Seymour Indiana, but also continued his play in Columbus, Ceraland Cummins leagues and at Lincoln Park.
His awards were 2 MVP’s, 2 ALL-Stars, 2 Offensive and 2 Defensive player awards and 2 Coach of the year awards.
