Jim Norris: Jim played slow pitch softball in Columbus for 52 years from 1970 to
2022. A very versatile player who played outfield, 3rd base and catcher during his
long career. As a hitter, Jim hit the ball hard with power and wanted to be at bat
during clutch situations. In 1972 he played for FOP. In 1983 he played for the
Brewers from Brownstown. At 40, Jim played for Cunningham Pattern which years
later became Bottle Shop. Jim won several league championships and a State
Championship. In 1999 he won a National Championship with the Indiana Classics.
He won a State title with Winchell’s Chiropractic in 2000. In 2007 he played with
the Indiana Legends who won 3 National titles. Jim finished his career with Indy
70’s in the 75 age group.
