• Nancy become an advocate in ensuring that girls in Columbus would one day soon be able to play organized softball.
• She was a voice and instrumental in battling for the rights for young girls to play organized softball in Columbus.
• Nancy and Rod Eliot joined forces with others and made groundbreaking efforts that eventually allowed girls community softball to be played at the County Stadium.
• Nancy went on to coach young girls and also played women’s softball for many years.
