I began my softball career at the age of 12. Such a blessing to become a member of the Ponytail softball family.
Rex McKenney, wife Doris and Jim Wells embraced a group of teenage girls and took us to the Moon and back.
For a girl from a single parent home, I now know that God had his hand is this most joyful time of my life.
I won City and County Stadium leagues for numerous years. North Vernon league, Franklin league and represented Indiana at the State and Regional level.
I played throughout Indiana, Ohio and Illinois and can’t forget good old Scipio!
I also played in Womens league in Edinburgh for many years alongside my Aunt, Sue Bryant and Barb Pelley.
Positions I played were shortstop, 3rd base, 1st base, catcher and pitcher. Finished my softball career playing with Team Spirit.
