Larry Ruble Bio
Larry played in the Columbus Softball Leagues from 1968 through 1994 for a total of 26 years.
He was an exceptional defensive player, covering the middle of the field and was awesome as a field general.
Larry is best known for the sweet swing that he possessed. A quick and powerful swing to hit the ball out of any park that he played in. Simply a great teammate and one that you would definitely rather play with than against.
Larry played on the 1975 Industrial League Arvin team that won the State Championship. That team also finished in the top 5 in other years. He also played on various teams that have won the Columbus Open league and A league championships. He has been tournament MVP before
Teams he played for were; Gelfius Construction, Office Lounge, Courthouse Center, Arvin and Silgas.
